Everything I was hoping for

I’d been carrying my camera to and from work for nearly a month and nothing had really grabbed me enough to justify the lugging around.

Then this morning about a month ago and the sky was nearly on fire.  I could see the effect was diminishing every second that passed I just hoped it would last long enough for me to get to a good shooting position.  I pulled over and got the camera out, good still there set up the camera and take the shot.  I lowered the camera and looked to the horizon dammit I’d missed it, yes there was an effect but it was greatly diminished.  All forlorn I got back in the car and made my way to work.

Cant remember why but I had to clear the card so thought I’d import what was there before wiping.  And hey presto there it was, what I hoped I’d captured but thought I’d lost.  Spent ages trying to remove the imperfections near the top at the middle of the shot until I realised it was a flock of birds
